GAUSS mbH - Environmental Protection and Safety in Shipping has been founded in 1996 as a non-profit limited liable company by the Federal State of Bremen and the Universities of Applied Sciences of Bremen and Bremerhaven. The Stakeholders Assembly is chaired by the Senator of Finance; the Advisory Board is composed of representatives from the Senator of Education & Science (chair), the Senator of Economy & Ports, the Senator of Construction, Environment & Traffic and the two Universities.

Our contribution to ecology and security aboard

Since its foundation GAUSS mbH has qualified as a competent partner to the maritime industry, to the marine community, and to national and international governmental and nongovernmental institutions. The scope of maritime services comprises:

• Research and Development Projects,
• Training and Advanced Qualification,
• Expertise and Consulting Services.

The companies staff members represent the major source for successful acquisition, conducting, performance and co-ordination of projects and orders. In an interdisciplinary team master mariners, marine engineers, and naval architects are working together with marine biologists, coastal zone managers and additional qualified colleagues to develop custommade solutions and to serve the needs of our clients.
